How it started
It started simply enough with our tribe loving the card and the seamless app. They loved collecting badges for everything first - first tap, first referral, first flight booking. But then the messages started pouring in, ‘Hey, I've collected all badges! Where are more?’
That's when we knew our users weren't just using the app; they were hunting for achievements. We thought let’s make this as real as the heist. We took everything people love about heist movies - the thrill, the mystery, the ticking clock - and turned it into a reward system.
Then we launched the heist on xx, 2023, and we saw the spike within a month. Our tribe started collecting badges left, right and centre and putting the timeline only excited them further to win the mystery reward.
We had so much fun writing the communication, getting on user calls and listening to how people are now raving about it to their friends and competing with them.
